Inspired by my Norwegian heritage, I wanted to create a stool that was inspired by Scandinavian design and traditional American materials, the Voss Stool was built. Wanting to keep the design as simple as possible, it was important to bring in a wood that would not only highlight, but accent the craftsmanship in the piece. For me, this wood was a variegated walnut. The variations within the wood allow a simple silhouette to shine.
